Bengaluru Gold Shopping Festival Appoints Rachita Ram as Brand Ambassador

The Bengaluru Gold Shopping Festival, organized by the Jewellers’ Association Bengaluru (JAB), is set to take place from October 3rd to November 16th, 2024. This third edition of the festival will run for 45 days and coincide with major festivals such as Navratri, Dussehra, Dhanteras, and Diwali, making it an auspicious time for gold purchases.

Key Features of the Festival

  • Brand Ambassador: Renowned Kannada actress Rachita Ram has been appointed as the brand ambassador for this edition, aiming to attract more visitors and enhance the festival’s visibility.
  • Expanded Participation: The festival will include a wider range of participants, now covering areas beyond Bengaluru, such as Tumkur and Ramnagar, thereby increasing its regional appeal.
  • Prize Increases: The total value of prizes has been raised from Rs. 2.10 crores to Rs. 3 crores. Gold prizes will increase from 3 kg to 3.5 kg, and silver prizes from 43 kg to 100 kg, with assured weekly prizes for all categories.
  • Digital Transformation: The festival has eliminated physical coupons, transitioning to a fully digital process for registration and prize draws, enhancing transparency and convenience for participants.
  • Social Contributions: A portion of the festival’s cash surplus will be used to provide scholarships for the children of goldsmiths and sales staff, as well as to support trade development activities.
  • Media and Sponsorship: The festival has an increased media budget to enhance visibility and attract footfall. It is co-sponsored by Jewels of India, with Sequel as the official logistics partner and The Art of Jewellery as the trade media partner.

This festival not only aims to boost retail sales but also seeks to celebrate the craftsmanship and cultural significance of gold in the region, making it a significant event in Bengaluru’s calendar.
