In a proud moment for India’s gems and jewellery industry, two of its most influential names—Tanishq, the jewellery brand from the Titan Group, and Shri Govind Dholakia, Founder-Chairman of Shree Ramkrishna Exports (SRK)—were honoured at the prestigious Diamonds Do Good Awards 2025 in Las Vegas.
Held annually during the world-renowned JCK Las Vegas Show, the Diamonds Do Good Awards not only recognise but also celebrate global leaders who champion responsible sourcing, drive community development, and inspire positive change across the diamond and jewellery trade. This year, the spotlight fell on India, recognising decades of commitment to ethical practices, sustainable innovation, and people-first leadership.
Tanishq Wins Purpose-Driven Business Leadership Award
Tanishq, a flagship jewellery brand under the Tata-owned Titan Group, received the Purpose-Driven Business Leadership Award for its exemplary dedication to ethical sourcing, sustainability, and inclusive growth. The brand’s commitment to traceability, artisan welfare, and eco-conscious manufacturing stood out on the global stage.
Tanishq’s initiatives—ranging from digital gold traceability to empowering local karigars (craftspeople) through technology and training—underscore a purpose-driven approach that balances luxury with responsibility. This recognition reaffirms Tanishq’s position as a pioneer in making meaningful luxury mainstream in India and beyond.
Govind Dholakia Honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award
A towering figure in India’s diamond industry, Govind Dholakia was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award (The Good Award) for his remarkable six-decade journey of ethical leadership and social contribution.
Founder and visionary behind Shree Ramkrishna Exports (SRK), Dholakia has transformed the Surat-based company into a global powerhouse in diamond manufacturing, all while championing sustainability and philanthropy. SRK’s diamond crafting facilities are among the first in the world to receive Net-Zero Energy certification, and its carbon emissions per carat are among the lowest in the industry.
Beyond business, Dholakia’s impact is far-reaching: from free healthcare and education to women’s empowerment and disaster relief, his SRK Knowledge Foundation is a beacon of grassroots change.
Global Recognition for Indian Values
The 2025 edition of the Diamonds Do Good Awards sends a powerful message: India’s jewellery industry is not only a global leader in craftsmanship but also in compassion and conscience.
With the international spotlight on ethical sourcing, traceability, and social impact, the achievements of Tanishq and Govind Dholakia set benchmarks for the world to follow.
