Limelight Diamonds to Launch Seven Stores in India for Lab-Grown Jewelry

Lab-grown jewellery brand Limelight Diamonds will open seven exclusive retail outlets across India by the end of the year. The expansion is in response to the growing consumer demand and acceptance of synthetic diamonds.

Pooja Sheth Madhavan, Founder and CEO, of Limelight Diamonds, said, “The awareness about synthetic diamonds has increased significantly and almost all customers now understand that synthetic diamonds are real. They are made of carbon and are identical to mined diamonds.” By strengthening its offline presence, the brand aims to reach out to more buyers in India.

To enhance its offline presence and connect with a wider audience, Limelight Diamonds is committed to scaling new heights. The brand has witnessed impressive growth in the lab-grown diamond sector, which is currently growing at a rate of 15-20 per cent annually, driven by a passionate interest in sustainable products and competitive pricing compared to traditional stones.

Expressing hope for strong local support, Madhavan said, “We aspire to receive the same recognition for the superior quality, craftsmanship and design of our jewellery.” The recent opening of an exclusive outlet in Anna Nagar, Chennai, takes the brand’s total store count to 23 in India.

Founded in 2019 and based in the bustling city of Mumbai, Limelight Diamonds thrives on a direct-to-consumer model, seamlessly integrating an e-commerce platform with physical retail outlets. Raising $1.36 million in two funding rounds, the brand has established itself as the market leader in the Indian lab-grown diamond market. As Limelight Diamonds continues to shine, its goal is to inspire consumers with the beauty of lab-grown diamonds, which embody hope, sustainability and elegance.
