Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Diamond Grader with expertise in operating CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) machines, handling natural and CVD diamonds, and performing CVD screening. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of diamond grading standards, and experience working with advanced gemological equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diamond Grading & Evaluation: Grade and analyze natural and CVD diamonds based on internationally recognized standards (GIA, IGI, HRD, etc.).
- CVD Machine Operation: Operate and calibrate CVD machines to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.
- CVD Screening & Identification: Conduct CVD screening to differentiate between natural and lab-grown diamonds using advanced gemological tools such as FTIR, PL, and UV-VIS spectroscopy.
- Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure adherence to quality standards and industry regulations, maintaining precision in grading and screening procedures.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any technical issues with CVD machines and screening equipment, coordinating maintenance as required.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of grading results, machine operations, and quality assessments.
- Industry Research & Continuous Learning: Stay informed about the latest advancements in diamond grading, CVD technology, and gemological screening techniques.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Educational Background: Diploma/Degree in Gemology, Diamond Grading, or a related field.
- Experience: Fresher / Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience in diamond grading, CVD machine operation, and screening technologies.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in using diamond screening instruments and advanced grading tools.
- Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a meticulous approach to grading and screening.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of gemological principles, diamond growth processes, and quality control measures.
- Basic Computer Knowledge (MS Office).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Diamond Grading and CVD Screening.
- Experience working with spectroscopic analysis tools (FTIR, PL, UV-VIS, etc.).
- Familiarity with ethical sourcing practices and industry regulations.
