The Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), in collaboration with the Sarafa Wing of the Uttar Pradesh Vyapar Mandal and the India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), recently organised the Jewellers’ Conclave and IIJS Premiere 2025 Roadshow in Lucknow. This landmark event was aimed at empowering local jewellers by showcasing the immense export potential, latest business trends, and government support initiatives within the gems and jewellery sector.
Strengthening Lucknow’s Jewellery Industry
Held at prominent venues in Lucknow, the conclave and roadshow successfully attracted over 125 participants, including jewellers, manufacturers, and suppliers from across the region. Moreover, the event emphasised the importance of leveraging technology, innovation, and timely market insights to significantly boost the competitiveness of local traders in both domestic and international markets.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted the gems and jewellery sector’s vital contribution of around 7% to India’s GDP. He urged industry leaders to create a comprehensive roadmap for a dedicated gems and jewellery park in the state, covering design, technology, processing, packaging, supply chain, and exports. The CM assured robust government support, highlighting enhanced security through the ‘Safe City’ initiative to foster a safe trading environment.
Promoting the IIJS Premiere 2025
The IIJS Premiere 2025 Roadshow served as a strategic platform to promote the upcoming India International Jewellery Show (IIJS Premiere) scheduled from August 4 to 8, 2025, in Mumbai. Over 1,500 exhibitors will showcase their products across 3,000 stalls in an expansive 1.25 lakh square meter space at the Jio World Convention Centre (JWCC) and the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC). The event will attract over 25,000 trade visitors, including retailers from more than 800 Indian cities and international buyers from over 60 countries.
It offers unmatched networking opportunities, sourcing the latest jewellery designs, technologies, and expanding business horizons.
