About the Role:
We seek an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Junior Faculty Member to join our Gemology department. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in educating and inspiring students about the fascinating world of gemstones, their properties, and evaluation techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct theoretical and practical classes on gem identification, grading, and evaluation.
- Develop and update course materials to meet academic and industry standards.
- Provide mentorship to students in academic projects and career guidance.
- Participate in workshops, seminars, and events to enhance the learning experience.
- Collaborate with the department on research and development initiatives.
- Assess students’ progress through evaluations, exams, and hands-on assignments.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Gemology or related fields (accreditations like FGA, GIA, or equivalent are highly preferred).
- Experience:
- Prior teaching or industry experience is a plus, though fresh graduates with strong technical expertise are encouraged to apply.
